How to Identify Crypto Transactions in Your Bankful Dashboard

  • by

Welcome to Bankful Crypto.
If you’re accepting crypto payments through Bankful’s Wallet-to-Wallet solution, this guide will help you track, verify, and understand your customer payments using your Crypto Dashboard and a tool called Etherscan.

Common Question

“I received a crypto payment in my store, but I don’t see the customer’s name or order info in my Bankful dashboard. How do I match it to an order?”

Don’t worry — this is expected! Crypto payments are different from credit cards. Here’s how to confidently identify a payment using the tools provided.

Step 1: Explore the Crypto Dashboard

Main Dashboard Overview

Here’s what you’ll see when you log in:

  • Vault Balance: ETH amount available for payout
  • Transactions: All crypto payments you’ve received this month
  • Payouts: Completed transfers from Vault to your wallet
  • History: Shows wallet connections/disconnections, purchases, and payouts
  • Connected Wallet: Your current wallet address (used to receive funds)

Tip: Disconnecting your wallet too soon may block access to your funds. Keep it connected until after your payout is confirmed.

Transactions Tab

This is where you’ll see each crypto payment.

Key details:

  • Transaction Hash – Like a digital receipt or reference number
  • From/To Wallet Addresses – The customer’s wallet and Bankful’s vault
  • Age – How long ago the payment was made (e.g., “2 hours ago”)
  • Value – Shows amount in ETH and USD (based on exchange rate at time of payment)

Note: Crypto transactions won’t show customer names, products, or Shopify order numbers. Instead, compare timestamps and ETH/USD amounts with your Shopify orders to match them.

Step 2: Use Etherscan to Verify Payments

Etherscan is a public tool that shows details about any Ethereum-based transaction.

How to Use It:

  1. In the Transactions tab, copy the Transaction Hash of the payment you want to check.
  2. Go to https://etherscan.io
  3. Paste the transaction hash into the search bar.
  4. Review the transaction details:
    • Status: Should say “Success” or “Confirmed”
    • 💸 Amount Sent: Matches what’s in your Vault
    • 🔁 From/To: Confirms the sender and destination wallet addresses

Need help identifying your wallet address?
Open your MetaMask wallet and compare it to the Connected Wallet in your dashboard. The last few characters are usually enough to confirm.

Helpful Tips to Keep in Mind

  • “Crypto payments don’t include names or order IDs, but you can match them by amount and time.”
  • “Etherscan helps you verify if the transaction is real, complete, and sent to the right address.”
  • “Funds go into your Vault first. You’ll need to manually withdraw to your wallet when you’re ready.”

Best Practices

  • 🔒 Never share your private key (this is like your wallet password).
  • Double-check your connected wallet address before making a withdrawal.
  • 🚫 Crypto payments are final – they can’t be reversed like credit card refunds.
