  • by

Welcome back to the forefront of innovation! We’re delighted to see you taking the proactive step of updating our Bankful plugin as we are sunsetting our previous version on December 31, 2023. This update isn’t just about staying up-to-date; it’s about embracing enhanced functionalities, optimized performance, and a smoother user experience. With this update, you are ensuring your business continues to operate at the pinnacle of efficiency and effectiveness. We’re here to assist you throughout the process with our step-by-step guide below. Thank you for being part of our journey toward continuous improvement and growth!

Step 1: Download our bankful plugin

Step 2: Log into your store’s WordPress backend and click Plugins → Installed Plugins and locate your current Bankful plugin. Click “Deactivate”

Step 3: Repeat the process and click “Delete”

Step 4: Click “Add New”

Step 5: Click “Upload Plugin”

Step 6: Choose the extension zip file you downloaded during checkout and click “Install Now”

Step 7: Activate the Plugin

Step 8: Click “Bankful Settings”

Step 9: Click “Update” on the Live API Status line

LIVE API Username = Bankful Username

LIVE API Password = Bankful Password

Step 10: Enter your Bankful credentials and click “Validate Settings” to connect the installation.

Step 11: You are still in “Test Mode” and can perform a test transaction if you wish. If you are satisfied with testing, click the dropdown menu and select “Live”

We strongly advise setting the Customer Email and Customer Phone Number field to mandatory within Woo. This will help your processing bank verify transactions and help with future chargeback disputes.

If you encounter any difficulties during the update process, our dedicated support team is ready to provide guidance. Support can be contacted at support@bankful.com.
